I have been taking aerial silks classes at LAA for almost 4 years now (since 2013), and I will definitely continue to do so for as long as I can. Over the last few years, I have seen huge improvements in my abilities with silks and I owe a lot of the improvements to my private instructor, Heidi. She & the staff have worked with me to build up the strength I needed to learn and improve my skills while keeping a balance of fun in all the sessions as well. The skills are taught in increasing difficulty so that no student is being asked to perform a skill that is way too hard for their skill level and with every skill, the safest version is always taught first.
It has been clear from my very first silks session that safety comes first at LAA. The staff has always been mindful of what each student is capable and comfortable doing and is great at adapting and spotting skills students may not be completely confident about performing yet.
The options to schedule private and semi-private sessions as well as the 7-week group sessions has made finding a time for silks a lot easier with my busy schedule over the years. I know that no matter which type of session I choose, LAA will do their best to find a time that works for everyone.
The sessions for me are always a great workout and I love that every session incorporates new and different skills. I will continue to take silks lessons from LAA because it has been a lot of fun seeing how I improve with time and the quality of instruction I have received in my opinion has been outstanding.
I had the opportunity to do Aerial Arts through LAA.
It is a lot of fun and a great overall body workout.
As someone who loves to climb this offered me that opportunity and with Heidi and Damian’s encouragement and instruction I improved and have become more confident. The confidence has carried over into other areas of my life.
I love the fact that the silk program is for any age and any ability and that each lesson is tailored to the individual with lots of encouragement from the instructors. It’s challenging and rewarding all at once. My strength and flexibility only continue to improve with this activity.
I have been able to take advantage of the semi-private and group lessons and hope in the future to take advantage of some private lessons.
Aerial Arts is a great opportunity for anyone looking for something different as far a fun, challenging and unique activity that happens to also offer a great workout.

I was so happy to run into Heidi and Damian several years ago. I had been looking for something for our daughter to be involved in that allowed her to be herself while also increasing her confidence. However we needed the activity to offer a flexible schedule with school, her job and other activities.
Their LAA Aerial silks program was just what we had been looking for. The seven week sessions along with private, semi-private and group lessons allowed us to do this activity at different times throughout the year.
I loved that the instructors first and foremost put safety first and then begin moving right into coaching the participants. They are determined to push and encourage them as they are climbing and doing the different tricks on the silks.
I feel that if you are a parent looking for an activity to get your child into that allows them to be active, challenged and grow, Little Apple Aerial Arts is that answer.

I took advantage of the aerial taster opportunity and some private sessions. I am the very last person I would ever expect to be able to learn and perform on silks. I reserved such a cool and unique activity for either elite athletes or people who have trained their entire lives as aerialist. Enter Heidi Hilton. In short, she’s just a stellar teacher. She takes each individual’s strengths and uses them to improve the whole. In our private session, Heidi would perform a skill as I stood watching in awe with my mouth open, and then she would tell me “ok, you are going to do that next!” I was more than a little skeptical. However, every single time, a short time later, I’m up on the silks performing the exact same trick! It’s amazingly empowering to be able to perform on silks (not to mention the killer muscles you build!!). I attribute it all to Heidi’s amazing gift of teaching.
I think it was pretty stellar that my husband and three kids were impressed with their mother’s skills on the aerial silks in a relatively short time taking lessons. Here their mother was doing some of the skills that they had seen Heidi, the professional aerialist do. Too Cool!
Heidi and Damian take the safety of aerial arts very seriously. While they want their students to have fun and enjoy silks (and we all do!), they also insist on correct form and stay well within the bounds of safety and each individual’s strength level. I couldn’t recommend Little Apple Aerials any more highly!
